Alison Cook Beatty

Alison Cook Beatty began her dance training at The Lee Lund Studio of Dance in Milford, CT. She graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance, Summa Cum Laude, as the recipient of the Ruth Sandholm Ambrose Scholarship Award. Upon graduating, Alison moved to NYC and danced with various independent choreographers such as Val Suarez, KM & Co., Gabriella Polar, Milton Myers, and Infinity Dance. She went on to dance with Paul Taylor's, Taylor 2 and also worked with The Paul Taylor Dance Company from 2002-2008. Most recently Alison has performed with various contemporary choreographers such as, Brian Carey Chung's Collective Body Dance Lab, The Amy Marshall Dance Company, The C. Eule Dance Company, The Thang Dao Dance Company, ZviDance, Carolina Ballet Theater, David Dorfman Dance, Trainor Dance, Exit 12 Dance Company, and Ballet Verite. She is currently on faculty at Dance In Grandma's Attic,The Joffrey Ballet School and Longrea Dance Academy. Alison enjoys modeling as well, working with various photographers such as Paul B. Mindy Upin

Mindy Upin (Rehearsal Director) is originally from just outside Chicago, Illinois. After completing her BFA in Dance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Mindy became a member of Chicago's Zephyr Dance Company. Once moving to "The Big Apple," Mindy was selected to participate in several Mark Morris Dance Group Intensives; perform in NYC's River-to-River Festival with Monica Bill Barnes; (DTW) Dance Theater Workshop's dancenOw/NYC The Festival with Nicole Berger; choreograph and perform in an Off-Off Broadway play, as well as, TraumNovela, an alternative musical theater film; sing and dance in the musicals State Fair, Bye Bye Birdie, and The Music Man; perform with Shockra Arts, Fresh Blood Productions, Von Ussar Danceworks, The Ominous Cha Cha Theater Company, and two seasons with The Steps on Broadway Repertory Ensemble. In addition, Mindy was chosen as a dancer for The Yard's 2008 Bessie Schoënberg Choreographic Residency on Martha's Vineyard, with which she performed two world premier pieces by Howard Katz and Belinda McGuire. Mindy has had the honor and privilege of performing works by Louis Falco, Seán Curran, Monica Bill Barnes, Nathan Trice, Mark Dendy, Warren Adams, Max Stone, Karen Gayle, Jason Winters, Wes Veldink, Yesid Lopez, Celia Rowlson-Hall, Michael Garber, and Caitlin Trainor.

Aditi Dhruv

Aditi Dhruv is a contemporary and Indian classical dancer in New York. She received bharata natyam training from Padmini Chari and Rathna Kumar in Houston as well as from P.K. Adyar K. Lakshman and V.P. and Shanta Dhananjayan in Chennai. She has also studied odissi with Jhelum Paranjape in Mumbai. Aditi has studies in New York with various teachers including Katiti King, Anabella Lenzu, Ron Brown and has worked with New York- based companies such as Parijat Desai Dance Company, Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, Emily Bunning /Treehouse Shakers and Preeti Vasudevan/Thresh Dance Company. She is also a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Union, teaching at studios in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She is thrilled to be dancing with Trainor Dance!

Tyler Gilstrap

Tyler Gilstrap is a native of Danville, Virginia. She earned her BFA in Dance from Southern Methodist University. After graduating, she performed Midsummer Marriage with the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, Germany. After relocating to New York, Ms. Gilstrap worked with Morales Dance, Patrick Corbin, and Amy Marshall Dance Company. She was also a guest artist with the Dodge Dance Co. and New York Theater Ballet. Ms. Gilstrap has been a featured dancer in such films as Across the Universe, directed by Julie Taymor, and The Wackness, directed by Jonathan Levine. She was also the assistant choreographer for the film, Love And Other Drugs. She worked on the Italian TV show Amici and has been the assistant choreographer for the San Remo TV Award show for the past three yrs. She is also the Dance Captain for the touring show of Why Be Extraordinary, directed by Daniel Ezralow. Ms. Gilstrap has taught hip-hop and modern dance in Germany, Hungary, Italy and throughout the USA, and was a founding member of Battleworks Dance Company, under the direction of Robert Battle.

Andrew Magazine

Andrew Magazine is thrilled to be making his professional debut with Caitlin Trainor. He began his exploration of movement at the Trevor Day School in New York City. Then, continuing his journey, he dove into his study of the technical foundation of modern dance at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he will be a junior in the fall. He has been privileged to work with such artists as Tere O'Connor, David Thomson, Kevin Wynn, and Ruben Graciani. Eternal thanks to Dad, Mom, Melissa, and K & L.

Lindsey Miller

Lindsey Miller, graduated with honors from Illinois State University with a degree in dance performance. Her professional performance work includes Shelter Repertory Dance Theatre in Tennessee directed by Kim Neal Nofsinger, Beth Soll & Dancers in NYC, "Movement Painting" projects with former dancer/visual artist Kari Lindstrom in NYC, and Ballet des Amériques Company in NYC directed by Carole Alexis. Lindsey's dance training is very diverse coming from the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and summer programs with the Joffrey Ballet School NYC, the School of Ballet Chicago, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Previously, Ms. Miller was a dance instructor at Greenwich Ballet Academy in Connecticut and McLean County Dance Association in Illinois for many years, where she was also Co-Director of the Bloomington Ballet Apprentice Company. Currently, Lindsey is an assistant teacher at the PeriChild program at Peridance Capezio Dance Center in Manahattan, a ballet and modern instructor at the Ballet des Amériques School in New York, and also working as a model. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Caitlin Trainor and the dancers of Trainor Dance!

Andy Allen

Andy Allen, originally from Alabama, recently graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University (KSU), receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. At KSU, Allen has performed in repertory choreographed by Bill T. Jones, Lauri Stallings, and Ivan Pulinkala. He recently completed a summer at the American Dance Festival (ADF) where he performed "Landscapes" choreographed by Bulareyaung Pagarlava. Allen now resides in New York City and looks forward to the new experiences the city has to offer.

Marlena Wolfe

Marlena Wolfe was born and raised in Warren, Ohio. In May 2007, she graduated summa cum laude and received a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan. Upon graduation, Ms. Wolfe was awarded the highest honor from the MMC Dance Department, a Gold Key, for excellence in her field. While at Marymount, Marlena had the opportunity to perform the works of many notable choreographers (Martha Graham, Twyla Tharp, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Doug Varone, and Robert Battle) and professionally danced for Twyla Tharp in the making of the archival video for her ballet, Torelli. In February 2007, Ms. Wolfe became a member of Robert Battle's company Battleworks and for three years performed Battle's works across the States, including a notable solo Ella that Battle created specially on Wolfe in 2007. Marlena has assisted Mr. Battle in the creation of many works and staged such works on colleges (MMC), conservatories (The Juilliard School), and companies nationally and internationally (River North Dance Chicago and Introdans, consecutively). She also has taught master classes at various colleges (NYU, MMC) and summer programs (Earl Mosely Institute for the Arts) as well as substitute taught at conservatories (Alvin Ailey Pre-Professional Program, The Joffrey Ballet School/Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Division). In the Spring 2011, Marlena returned to her alma mater, Marymount, and was an adjunct instructor. Currently, Ms. Wolfe dances for Mimi Garrard, choreographs her own work (most recently at Earl Mosley's Institute for the Arts) and is the Certificate Program Coordinator, Teen Intensive Coordinator, and Modern teacher for Peridance's Youth Ensemble at Peridance Capezio Center.

Lane Halperin

Lane Halperin began her dance training at age eleven in Traverse City, Michigan. In January 2011 she joined the Steps on Broadway Repertory Ensemble where she has had the opportunity to learn works by Sean Curran, Camille Brown and Aszure Barton. She then graduated with a BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College in May 2011. While at Marymount she performed works by David Parsons, Jeff Shade, Lone Larson, Takehiro Ueyama, Anthony Ferro, May O'Donnell and Erick Hawkins, and interned for Paul Taylor Dance Company, Parsons Dance, Lar Lubovitch and Gallim.

Cherri Nelle Thompson

Cherri Nelle Thompson has been performing in film, theater and dance productions since she was 7 years old. She has degrees from Valencia Community College and the University of Central Florida including an AA in Dance Performance, a BA in Spanish Language, and a minor in French. She is also studying Medical Interpreting at New York University. She has danced with DRIP performance art entertainment company, Moore Dance Project, and Patelworks Dance Theater in Orlando, FL. After moving to the Big Apple, Cherri studied acting at the T. Shreiber Studio and Theater, studied dance at The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance under scholarship, performed with Graham II in their 2011 season, and most recently danced in the Thelma Hill PAC 35th Anniversary Dance festival. Cherri is thrilled to be part of such a creative and dynamic group!

Mary Kate Sheehan

Mary Kate Sheehan (Understudy) grew up competing as an Irish Step dancer on an international level and placed as high as top 10 in the world. She has since expanded her training to ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern. She was recently featured on So You Think You Can Dance. She completed the pre-professional trainee program in jazz and contemporary under the direction of Dorrell Martin at the Joffrey School in New York City, and currently lives in New York City.
